[…]The intro to the song is a variant on the intro to \"Pretty Vacant\" by the Sex\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\"\u003e Pistols.”\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eRegarding Track 11, sometimes Peter Stampfel tells me to write a song and I do, this time he performed a scrap of this old polka song and asked me to write new lyrics for it. A bit of online research currently shows that the original song Peter played was titled “Tic-Tock Polka” [sic] first released by Frankie Yankovic and His Yanks in 1950 (no relation to Weird Al), and apparently the Frankie Yankovic song that Peter was covering was written by R. J. Martino and Stanley Guski, which furthermore is apparently adapted from Tic-tì-tic-tà written by Gaetano Lama and Francesco Feola. So this is my version of Peter’s version of Frankie’s version of Martino \u0026amp; Guski’s version of Lama \u0026amp; Feola’s “Tic-tì-tic-tà”.
